“STAR” is a beautiful purebred Border Collie,
about four years old. She is spayed, fully up-to-date on all vaccinations, is
heartworm negative and on monthly preventative.
Star was turned over to her
veterinarian’s office because her owners were moving and did not want to take
her with them. Before that, Star had been given a very nice home where she lived
with two small dogs and several cats.
Star has absolutely perfect house
manners and is only moderately active. In her foster home, she stays loose in
the house during working hours and gets along fine with the other dogs in the
household. She likes toys and only chooses her dog toys to chew on and play
with.
Star is a good watchdog and barks to
alert when someone comes to visit but then she is sweet and friendly with
everyone.
Star enjoys playing outside but does
not have high drive to play ball or to rough house and play hard with other
dogs. She would be very suitable for a companion home for someone looking for a
lower energy Border Collie to be their best friend.
Star loves treats and would enjoy
some basic obedience training and learning to do tricks. She rides well in the
car and is crate trained.
