Twist is a tri colored male border collie.  He was rescued from a kill shelter after he was picked up wandering in a rural area.  Twist is between 1 and 2 years old, is neutered, has all his shots and is heartworm negative and on monthly prevention.

Twist is an extremely active, high drive dog who will need an owner who has some experience with Border Collies.  He assumes a herding stance and working crouch and has a strong Border Collie-style stare.

He is learning household manners and basic obedience.  He behaves well when crated.  He gets along nicely with other dogs.  Twist is motivated by food and tugging with stuffed animals.  He eagerly chases after a ball or a frisbee but is less interested in bring it back because it has stopped moving.  We are hoping that Twist can be tried on sheep to see if he has natural talent, interest and ability in herding.  Twist would also excel at dog agility competition.  Twist is affectionate with people and warms up quickly to strangers.
